okay question

like i said in my last post i was sick as a dog yesterday and feelin better today but not perfect. iv had a cough for days and have been weezing wich isnt really normal for me. so for about 2 months or less now when i blow my nose i get blood most times, not alot lot but blood and sometimes when i cough blood. well since yesterday iv been coughing alot and spitting out you no what like crazy and its had blood in it, not everytime though. my boyfriend said the blood is from the dry air and it makes my nose dry, but my nose isnt dry if anything im always sniffling. so should i call my dr and make an appt as this could be something serouis or not worry about it. i dont like to run to my drs for just anything as i see them enough as it is. also have this pain on my left side of chest, thats in my shoulder and travels to my back, comes and goes thrue the day. had it one time last month and now have had it on and off for 2 days. im the type i just wait things out but with the medication im on and stuff i dont no if i should keep putting it off. thanks hugs

Do you smoke?

I think it would be a good idea to at least call the office and let them know what's going on regardless.

So glad you found my blog!! I agree with calling the office and talking to the nurse.. it can't hurt.

I have a friend in Virginia who was diagnosed with myositis about 7 years ago I think. He did several years of prednisone and imuran I think. Are you on immunosuppressants? If so, I would say definitely call the doc.

I do hope you are feeling better soon!!

I have had a really bad cold for over a week. I also have some blood when I blow my nose. My mom used to tell me that when you had that, it meant the cold in your head was breaking up. Well, my head is a bit better, but now it's in my chest. I finally broke down today and went to the Dr. after not being able to sleep for 3 days due to such bad coughing at night. I left the Dr's office with a diagnosis of "acute infectious bronchitis" and three prescriptions.....875 mg of antibiotics, a prescription cough medicine and an inhaler. If I don't feel better in 3 days, I need a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia.

YES....I think you should see the Dr. There are alot of things going around and you don't want to wait until you are really, really sick to go.

Just my opinion....

It never hurts to get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry. I guess everyone is getting sick. I am so tired of catching a cold myself. Hope you feel better soon. Let us know what you decide

One time I was coughing up blood and went to a specialist. Was scared to death I had cancer! I had bronchitis and he said because I was coughing so much that my bronical tubes were hitting each other (they were raw) and that was causing the blood. Sounds like you need a antibotic for sure. I think you should go to the doctor. They will give you a chest x-ray, I bet. I use to put stuff off like that with the colds but when I wait I get really bad. Sooner I go the faster I get well. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Hugs, Janie

I hope you don't mind that I stopped by for a visit, I saw your comment on Christy's blog and noticed that you're also trying to get in shape. I made a blog for my health and I'm trying to seek out other similar blogs for encouragement. If you don't mind, can I follow your blog??

P.S. You're gorgeous!
